One club, two codes
Cockburn Wolves started on a futsal court and stayed there for years before it saw a blade of grass. In 2025 we put teams on the pitch as well. Same crest, same people, twice the football.
Indoors first
We are a community club in the City of Cockburn, and our home is the indoor court. The club has fielded futsal teams through junior age groups and into senior men's and women's competition for years, and that is still where we are strongest.
Futsal is five a side on a hard court with a heavy, low-bounce ball. The court is small and the game is fast, so every player is constantly involved. It is why our juniors are comfortable in tight spaces, and it is why so many professional players grew up playing it.
Outdoors since 2025
Outdoor football was not a pivot away from futsal. It was an answer to a question our own families kept asking: where do the kids go when they want eleven a side as well? Now they do not have to leave to find out.
It launched in 2025 and has grown every season since, coached by the same group, on the same standards. Plenty of our players now do both.
What we stand for
- Nobody sits on the bench all season
- Junior football exists to develop players, and players develop by playing. Our coaches rotate game time in every junior age group, in every result.
- Cost is never the reason a child misses out
- Fees can be split across the season and KidSport vouchers are accepted. If it is still out of reach, speak to the committee. That conversation stays private.
- The sideline is part of the team
- Referees are often teenagers, and opposition parents are somebody's mum and dad. We expect our sideline to be the one other clubs are glad to be drawn against.
- One club, not two
- Futsal players are not the indoor team and outdoor players are not the real team. Same crest, same committee, same standards.
